How to structure your paragraphs so they guide both you and your reader

Thu, November 05, 13:15-16:45

A well-crafted paragraph structure makes texts easier to read and helps you organise your thoughts and arguments. However, paragraphing is a craft that is difficult to master – especially if you have learnt academic writing in a different language, such as German, where there is less of a focus on paragraphs. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of paragraphing and let you apply them to your own writing project. Please bring your laptop and a piece of English academic writing that you are currently working on.

Location: SoWi, o.1.06

Cancellation policy

Please be fair to your fellow students and notify us at least 48 hours before the workshop begins if you are unable to attend, so that we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list. If you have to cancel at short notice (e.g., due to illness), please email us at ulb-schreibzentrum@uibk.ac.at.

If you cancel your booking at the last minute or fail to attend without giving notice, we reserve the right to remove you from further workshops during the current semester and pass your spot on to students on the waiting list. Thank you for your understanding.
